I have so much to be thankful for. So much has changed in my life over the past 5 months. So I thought that I would provide you guys an update.
God has been moving the chess pieces. I went through a 12 session counseling course through Pine Rest called Healthy Living that has helped me immensely. Through the session I got to know some wonderful people and got to connect with others that also have gone through PTSD and also was able to learning coping skills for both OCD and PTSD.
My counseling sessions are going well and over the past year I got back on my medication after I had been off it for a year and a half and suffice to say it was a learning lesson. I am never going to go off my medication again, it is dangerous and very crippling. I had to learn the hard way.
Most of all through God has been working directly to heal the wounds and the hurt of the past. He has healed those wounds that were causing me so much pain and so much anger and I have also grown with my church family as well and they have been with me through the whole entire thing.
The people at my company Tech Defenders have been absolutely wonderful. They have been there and lent an ear when I was going through Hard Times and just needed someone to talk to about things.
Complex PTSD is not easy but I just wanted to say that God is so much greater than what we deal with in our lives. He wants to take all of our struggles on himself and he wants to give us peace joy and hope instead.
Jesus knew that we would struggle. In fact he said that we would face tribulations and trials in our lives. But the greatest promise that he made is that he would Overcome the world.
Recently after years of praying and searching I can say that God has just opened up a huge door in my life and starting on the 20th of May I will be going to work for Merakey as a Behavior Technician which means I will be working one on one with autistic folks helping them to be successful in life. It's true God does answer prayers. But he does it His way and in His timing. It's going to be a major leap of faith leaving my job and going to work for Merakey but I know God is going to help me and that He wants me to trust Him through this all.
Blessings to you all!
